Hi, I’m Keanna.
I’m a Colorado-based journalism student at the University of Colorado Boulder graduating this May, with experience in reporting, fact-checking, and editorial production at Denver Life Magazine. My work spans long-form reporting, personal essays, cultural criticism, and political analysis.
I’m especially interested in stories that explore how culture, policy, and power shape everyday life, from reproductive rights and political movements to media, identity, and social change. I care deeply about ethical reporting, strong storytelling, and writing that helps readers make sense of complicated systems in human ways.
When I’m not reporting or writing, you will usually find me bouncing between Denver and the mountains, hiking, wandering bookstores and coffee shops, or hanging out with my two cats. Growing up in Colorado has shaped how I see community, access, and place, and it continues to influence the stories I am drawn to tell.
I’m currently seeking entry-level opportunities in journalism, editorial assistance, communications, and writing-focused roles where I can continue building my reporting and editing skills.
